From new to refurbished: our grading explained
Infotheek's product statuses range from new to refurbished B-grade. To make the right choice for your organization, it is important to understand the differences between these statuses.
Infotheek's grading provides a clear overview of what you can expect per status, including information on the product's condition, included accessories, and warranty.
New
New products are brand-new devices that have never been used and are in perfect condition. However, there are different gradations within new products.
New – N1
This device is brand new, never used, and sealed in the original retail packaging. Includes all original accessories and full manufacturer's warranty.
New – N2
This device is also brand new, but the packaging may be opened or damaged. Includes essential accessories such as cables, adapters, or batteries and full manufacturer's warranty.
New – N3
This device is also brand new, but the packaging is sealed by the manufacturer instead of the retailer. Includes full manufacturer's warranty, but without accessories.
Remanufactured
Remanufactured products are devices that have been restored to a like-new condition through professional factory refurbishment. This includes cleaning, functional tests
and replacement of parts where necessary.
Remanufactured - W1
Remanufactured to a like-new condition. Delivered in
manufacturer-sealed packaging, without signs of use and including all original accessories. Includes full manufacturer's warranty.
Remanufactured - W2
Remanufactured and may contain minimal signs of use. Delivered in manufacturer-sealed packaging including essential accessories. Includes full manufacturer's warranty.
Demo
Demo products have been used as demonstration devices, for example at trade fairs, events, or in stores. The devices have been professionally inspected, cleaned, and
functionally tested to ensure reliable performance.
Demo - D1
This device is delivered in manufacturer-sealed packaging including essential accessories. May contain minimal signs of use. Includes one-year pick-up & return warranty.
Demo - D2
This device is delivered in opened retail packaging (brown box) including essential accessories. May contain normal signs of use. Includes one-year pick-up & return warranty.
Refurbished
Refurbished products have had a previous owner but have been professionally inspected, repaired, cleaned, and functionally tested. Within refurbished IT, there are different quality levels.
Refurbished – AS
A+ Grade
Approved Selection is our own premium refurbished brand. This device has an A+ grade, meaning it is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use. Some devices may be partially or fully professionally wrapped to restore signs of use from previous owners. Delivered
including essential accessories and a one-year pickup & return warranty.
Refurbished – R4
A Grade
This device has an A-grade and is in good condition with normal signs of use. Delivered in a brown box including essential accessories and a one-year pickup & return warranty.
Refurbished – G5
B Grade
This device has a B-grade and is in fair condition with clear signs of use. Delivered in a brown box or bulk packaging, without accessories and including a one-month carry-in warranty.
