The story of Infotheek
The beginning
Infotheek was founded in 1991 in Leiden. At a time when used IT hardware was not yet a strategy, but simply smart business. High-quality IT hardware did not always have to be new. That idea formed the foundation of Infotheek.
The growth
What started with second-hand laptops grew into one of the most well-known IT hardware names in the Netherlands. In the years that followed, Infotheek evolved into an international organisation. A name known to IT managers, procurement officers, and finance teams throughout the Netherlands.
The split
After decades of growth, the Infotheek organisation split in 2017, and parts of the company continued under a different name. The Infotheek name was retained by the people who built the company.
The comeback
Today, Infotheek is more relevant than ever. Organisations are actively seeking ways to organise IT in a smarter, more sustainable, and cost-efficient way. And that is exactly where Infotheek's strength still lies. The same DNA. The same practical knowledge. But more relevant than ever.
